Returning to the Washington Avenue Armory after a 1-5 road trip, the Patroons rallied around a record-setting 55 points from Edwin Ubiles en route to a 135-112 home victory over the New York Court Kings.
Ubiles started the night with 12 points in the first quarter, then rose the total to 23 points at the half. By the end of the third quarter, he was at 49 points, finishing the record with two free throws in the fourth quarter.
With 55 points, Ubiles broke the previous Patroons single-game record of 53, which was scored by Lloyd “Pooh” Johnson in the 2017-18 Patroons season; TJ Thompson of the 2005-06 Patroons also had 53 points in a road victory over the Gary Steelheads.
Among the other Patroons, Darius Paul notched 17 points, Joshua Cameron finished with 15 points, and Jordan Robertson had ten points, including a thrilling fourth-quarter dunk.
Returning to the Patroons lineup was EJ Gallup, who scored 5 points; former Saint Rose start Shea Bromirski notched five as well.
The Court Kings were led in scoring with 30 points from Andre Armstrong and 24 points from LeRoy Fludd.
Albany returns to the Armory on Monday evening at 7:00 to face the Court Kings in a rematch.
