Edwin Ubiles continued his hot scoring for the Patroons, as he nicked 33 on the scoreboard to help Albany claim a 127-110 win over the New York Court Kings on Monday night at the Washington Avenue Armory. The victory propels Albany to an 11-7 record, only a game behind the Mesquite Desert Dogs for third place in the TBL basketball Standings. With the loss, the Court Kings fall to 3-15.

In addition to Ubiles’ 30 points, Joshua Cameron put 24 points in the hoop, while Darius Paul hit 25 points. Steven Cunningham’s 12 points included four powerful slam dunks, including back-to-back “Hammer Slams” in the first quarter.

“These two games havce helped us in adding additional players and seeing what they can do,” said Darius Paul of EJ Gallup (11 pts) and Shea Bromirski (8 points, including a pair of 3-pointers). “It also gave us two games to see what we can do. We’re making more baskets and we’re getting more comfortable with each other, everyone’s starting to jell at the right time.”

The Court Kings were led in scoring by Shadell Millinghaus, LeRoy Fludd and Kelvin Gonzalez each scored 24 points apiece.

The Patroons return to the Washington Avenue Armory on Friday night to face the Yakima Sun Kings. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m.
