PATROONS WINNING STREAK SNAPPED, 116-101 LOSS TO RALEIGH

(Raleigh, N.C.) The Patroons’ road trip to North Carolina ended with a 116-101 loss to the Raleigh Firebirds 116-101. The Patroons were short-handed, as Darius Paul nursed a knee injury and did not play; and Edwin Ubiles accepted a contract to return to Puerto Rico’s BSN professional basketball league, where he has starred for several seasons.

The Patroons were led in scoring by Jordan Robertson with 21, while Joshua Cameron scored 19. Stephen Cunningham had 18 points, as did Anthony Moe, who returned to the Patroons lineup during the team’s current road trip. Albany’s Alonzo Murphy also scored in double figures, with 10 points.

The Patroons return to the Washington Avenue Armory for games Friday night against San Diego, and Saturday against Kansas City.
