(MESQUITE, NEV.) – The Albany Patroons ended their four-game losing streak with a 119-110 road victory Saturday night against the Mesquite Desert Dogs.
Five different Patroons scored in double figures, and two players – Edwin Ubiles (31 pts, 10 rebs) and Alonzo Murphy (13 pts, 21 rebs) scored double-doubles on the night. The revamped Patroons lineup also included two new players on the roster, and both new men made impressive showings – Tre Wells added 13 points for the Pats, while Mac Grier scored 25 points off the bench.
Tyron Criswell (25 pts, 14 rebs) and Darius Mitchell (23 pts) were the leading scorers for Mesquite.
The Patroons will now travel to San Diego for a Sunday contest against the Waves, then visit Yakima, Washington on Tuesday night against the Sun Kings before returning to the Washington Avenue Armory Friday night to face the New York Court Kings.
