ALBANY PATROONS MOVE BACK INTO PLAYOFF HUNT WITH 104-91 ROAD WIN OVER JAMESTOWN
(JAMESTOWN, N.Y.) Anthony Moe has made his second run with the Albany Patroons extremely successful, as he scored 20 points and pulled down 18 boards as the Patroons earned a much-needed 104-91 road victory Tuesday night over the Jamestown Jackals.
The victory pushes Albany back into the playoff race, with 15 wins against ten losses. Among the 15 wins is a forfeit victory over San Diego, who could not arrive at the Armory for a Friday night game against the Patroons. Jamestown falls to 12-12. Only the top four teams will make the postseason.
Moe, a 6’9″ power forward who played collegiately at Millersville University in Pennsylvania before joining the Patroons, finished 9-for-16 from the floor.
Joshua Cameron led all Patroons in scoring with 23 points, while Shadell Millinghaus scored 18 points and had four steals and a blocked shot. Darius Paul (12) and Stephen Cunningham (10) also scored in double figures for Albany, who at one point led Jamestown by as many as 23 points in the game.
Glenroy Carr Jr. (19) and Troy Taylor (13) were the top scorers for Jamestown.
Jamestown now travels to Albany for a Saturday afternoon contest, with tip-off at 4:00 p.m.
