In late 2021, it was announced there would be a change in ownership. Albany Patroons Inc., agreed to take over basketball operations for the 2022 season under Ben Fernandez, who has a long history with the Patroons as well as with the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) dating back to the 1980’s.
Rocco is a lifelong Albany resident, graduating from Albany High School before attended New York Institute of Technology, graduating at the top of his class, earning a BA in communications & marketing.
Dr. Maggs is the current team Dr. and former owner of the Albany Patroons. He’s been involved with and has worked very closely with the Albany Patroons and former Patroon Head Coach Derrick Rowland since the mid-80’s.
Cathy Taylor has consistently showcased an extraordinary dedication to her various professional pursuits. As the Financial Aid Director for The New School Center for Media in Albany and NYC, she has played a pivotal role in guiding students through their educational funding journeys. Additionally, her contributions as a writer for the Bluegrass Horseman Magazine in Lexington, KY, reflect her ability to engage a diverse audience with insightful and compelling content
