Dr Maggs at press conference

Dr. Tim Maggs has been in private practice for over 41 years. He has specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries throughout his entire career.Dr. Maggs has been an active participant in sports as well, having run 16 marathons, spending many hours on his mountain bike, playing basketball and extensively working with athletes. His wife, Trudy, and four sons, John, Connor, Tim jr., and Tom, are all actively involved in fitness and a healthy lifestyle. In fact, they just completed the Barr Trail 20k race on July 28th, a 6.2 mile race up Pikes Peak and 6.2 mile run down.In 2004, Dr. Maggs recognized the need for improved diagnosis and treatment of sports related injuries in the middle and high school age group.  It was at this time he developed the Concerned Parents of Young Athletes™ Program. Dr. Maggs' goal is to have all middle and high school athletes go through not only the standard medical exam at the start of each season, but also a biomechanical exam. This would look at the musculoskeletal system, in detail, and allow these young athletes to begin correcting imbalances, weaknesses and biomechanical faults long before they become injuries that create disability and premature degeneration. Today, Dr. Maggs works with athletes from more than 25 high schools, and is the Director of Sports Biomechanics at Christian Brothers Academy in Albany, New York.Dr. Maggs launched his Structural Management® Certification Program in January 2019. He travels the country teaching his techniques to other doctors in the profession with hopes to help people have a higher quality of life and combat the opioid epidemic. As of July 2019 Dr. Maggs became the proud owner of the Albany Patroons basketball team and is looking forward to an exciting season with them. He is introducing his Structural Management® Program to all teams in the league as it will provide the necessary biomechanical information for each player to prevent and treat injuries more effectively this season and for many more to come.

Jordan is excited to be joining the Albany Patroons. After graduating from SUNY Plattsburgh, Jordan spent time working in Manhattan for a marketing agency which focused on developing visual content for fashion and beauty brands. This experience allowed him to learn how content marketing can be strategically used in any business. In 2017, Jordan found a new home in the Capital Region working as the Marketing Director for Premiere Transportation, which allowed him the opportunity to run and manage all marketing efforts for Premiere. After sitting courtside for a few games Jordan quickly realized the excitement and energy the Armory and the Patroons had to offer, that combined with the overwhelming history is what led him to get involved with the Patroons organization.
